Is there a minimum?
Yes. Mobile sharpening appointments have a five-blade minimum. If you have fewer items, get in touch to ask about drop-off.
What do you sharpen?
Kitchen and pocket knives, serrated knives, cleavers, oversized knives, select kitchen tools, household scissors, pruning shears, hedge shears, machetes, axes and hatchets.
Do you sharpen hair or grooming shears?
No. I sharpen fabric, kitchen and household scissors. Grooming and professional hair shears are not currently accepted.
Where do you provide service?
Red Bank and surrounding Monmouth County towns. Send your town and item list so I can confirm availability. See the service area.
How much does sharpening cost?
Standard kitchen and pocket knives are $12 per item. Listed rates range from $12 to $20. View every price.
How should I prepare my knives?
Please clean and dry your tools. Use blade guards or cardboard sleeves, or wrap the blades securely in a towel inside a sturdy box for a safe handoff.
Can you repair damaged blades?
Minor edge damage may be addressable during sharpening. For large chips, broken tips, heavy rust or unusual tools, send a clear photo first so I can assess the work.
How do I request service?
